A great night where I left the boat to it under double reefed main
and 2/3 of the genoa. We went along at 4.5 / 5 knots, a little south of my
090 intended course but not enough to get me out of bed to fix it. The
wind started to increase from 6.30 and that did the trick as I set us up and we
really flew until mid afternoon. The wind has now died and I
have all my sail up. I'll go experiment with course and sail trim
when done with this update.
General
I've
been taking positive action to remove the "cheese mountain" issue. Boiled
eggs and dippy cheddar soldiers for breakfast, cheese and crackers with mustard
at lunch and the lastt of the haloumi with spam (I think, its a tin of something
that has survived from Amsterdam) and chopped tomatoes for tea. Only the
parmesan left - and that can take its chances in the open air.
Texts Tim – Your weather matches my grib - and the reality has
been about the same, so far so good. Hope the beach was worth the trip and
all the preparation is in hand for Ireland.
Em (I think) I guess you were the "Incompatible message format" but I got your follow up last night
and see you have had a good day off today.
Cheers all
