Hi everyone,
Well given our initial estimate of three weeks to
reach the Azores, we would be ecstatic today at reaching the 2/3rs of the way
across. I guess we were spoilt with our good progress earlier, so
disappointed with the subsequent delay but it did the trick and we avoided the
nasty stuff.
A fair few "excitements" have happened along the
way..the boys dropping a sail on deck at midnight amongst others....pumping
bilges at regular intervals - nothing drastic - just serves to stop a loud alarm
going off during precious sleep time.
Dare I mention the blocked aft 'black
water tank? to (mis)quote Forreest Gump - "Effluent happens" luckily
it is a case of constipation not the other problem.
Is anyone still under the illusion that
sailing is all glitz, glamour and colourful drinks with little umbrellas in
them?
Still, it is yet another beautiful sunny day with a
fresh breeze. We have 685 miles to go to get to target. Fingers
crossed for some favourable winds to provide a boost towards our
destination.
Bye for now, No. 3 x
PS I am sure that Sean would have contributed but
he's asleep
