Today we got some good sailing, close hauled as
usual, after the night of motoring. But as we approached the western end of
Brittany he wind fell too light again and with the tide now against us we
decided to motor past L'ile d'Ouessant. Hence we have now entered the bay of
Biscay in perfect weather except for lack of wind. Us sailors are always
moaning, the wind is always the wrong strength and coming from the wrong
