Our position is now N28deg 52 mins, W60deg 35
mins.
After motoring last night for two hours we sailed
on in light SW winds. During today they picked up to 15Kts SSW giving
perfect sailing conditions. We are running down our easting at over 7
kts. Nothing around except the occasional white tailed tropic bird and a
great shearwater, which puts on a fantastic flying display and occasionaly goes
for our fising lines. We are keeping up Sadko's tradition of never
catching anything on passage, apart from Sargasso weed.
Noel, the wind vane steering, does a fantastic job
much of the time, but occasionally loses concentration. I expect
he needs a spell off watch too.
We had a good contact with Herb this evening and
have been advised to run east keeping south of 30 degrees north for the time
being to avoid low pressure systems building to the north of us.
We are receiving very little return
correspondence. Please encourage people to read these blogs and send us
short messages via sadko {CHANGE TO AT} mailasail {DOT} com.
