Headwind

Headwinds for the last twenty four hours have made it necessary to
tack. We've been sailing east for much of this time and a few hours ago
tacked north. The wind from the north east has, for the moment, prevented us
following the ideal great circle track to Oban. We are currently south of
that track.
The fresh fruit ran out a few days ago, but the tinned stuff is finishing
off suppers very nicely now. Tinned custard was not a staple in Canadan
supermarkets, so I'm saving the solitary tin of that for a particularly good
day.
The sun has just broken through the grey cloud and will hopefully make
eating supper on deck a warmer option.
