As
night approached yesterday the number of ships showing on the AIS monitor and on
radar dropped off and by midnight there was only an intermittent radar ping with
no other activity. In the middle of the night there was nothing on either
instrument, and that has continued. This is good news since it means the
risk of collision (worst near land) is hopefuly reducing.
The motion sickness is being held at bay by the pills - isn't medicine
wonderful. I could only face pasta with a light tomato source yesterday evening,
but it has stayed where it should be overnight.
There were clear skies last night with a million stars and a huge sweep of
the Milky way. A real emotional lift.
Winds so far have mostly been behind the beam and light-ish. Grabbing
the weather window when it presented itself has been worth it.
