Tuesday morning,
42 miles from bermuda and
counting....
Its a lovely day today, a bit cold and its getting
colder... the layers of thermals and fleeces are slowely working there way
back on...
its sunny today though, but too cold to
sunbathe.... the wind is a nice southerly taking us nicely up to bermuda at a
steady 6 knots meaning we'll get there this afternoon at some
point..
im making pancakes this lunchtime on Gregs request,
so that'lll be a nice last meal for him.. anthony and i have many more couscous
and paella still to come in the final week of course..
we saw some mega jelly fish yesterday, big man of
war, and some purple and red ones, we also had some lovely phospheresence last
night, glowing around the boat.. but alas we havent seen dolphins for AGES!!! i
thionk it might be too cold for them to want to venture this high, and i dont
blame them..
Looking forward to a shower today!! my hair after
being splashed and soaked by sea water Saturday and Sunday night is now almost
dreaded, and i have so much salt in it its just gross!!!
anyway its tuesday and we are nearly at
Bermuda!!!! Yay!!
A vigorous front is on its way to us from the west.
Bermuda Radio tells us that it has 50 knots, so we are going to stop in Bermuda
until the front has passed which should be lunchtime tomorrow. A full night's
sleep tonight! WHAT BLISS!!!!!!!!
Greg leaves us today so we will carry on with just
Alexa and me. We will stop in Hampton at the bottom of Chesapeake Bay to pick up
the person who is buying the boat. This should be Monday morning so we will be
in Annapolis Tuesday morning to prepare the boat for handover and then fly back
to the UK Tuesday evening. Clean sheets and hot showers here we
come!
