At last we are on our way. Four days in port seems
such a long time!
Greg arrived at the boat at 2:30 and we were away
at 3:00 yesterday afternoon. Within 20 minutes we had seen dolphins and a
little later Alexa saw the water spout from a whale blowing in the distance.
We were expecting rain last and did we get it!
At 9:30 last night we had a beautiful moon
overhead with starry skies and a black cloud on our right. 10 minutes later the
black cloud was over us, wind was up to 40 knots and the rain was coming down in
buckets.
Today we have a lovely sunny day with scattered
puffy cumulus clouds and I am not expecting any significant rain until Friday.
We have good wind and are trotting along nicely. Our first obstacle is an area
of high pressure with no wind to the west so at the moment we are heading south
west to get under it.
