Inventory of alternators - minus one.

Very frustrating day ! Engineers informed us they now don't have the diagnostic testing equipment for fault finding on why the generator charging trips out when starting to charge 24v batteries.
On the alternator the repair man informs us the windings have burnt out and despite promises for return by tonight or Sat lunch now informs us that it will be Monday.
Also owner hasn’t yet ordered new replacement.
Weather forecast is now showing northerly 6 and 7 through to Tuesday and staying relatively windy next week.
Unfortunately, we therefore think we will have to remain till Tuesday and hope the alternator man does not let us down again.
