The Botanical Gardens at Deshaies are located at the top of the steep hill to the south of Deshaies.  Fortunately, the Gardens offer a courtesy car to take visitors to and from the Gardens. Simply call the number at the end of the dinghy dock (or ask for it at “The Pelican” when clearing in and the car arrives in a few minutes.

 

The Gardens’ colourful collection of tropical plants is well laid out in 5 acres of ground with serpentine paths.  There is an artificial waterfall, a walk-in aviary with colourful birds, wild Humming Birds, a Koi

Carp pond and refreshment facilities.
