Beautiful nights sailing last night, a gentle
breeze with a flat sea made for a good 4 knots plus the favouable stream of 1.5
to 2 kts. We even had small birds chit chatting to us in the dark and eerie
night. Coyley thinks we've been eating mushrooms but Burnsy and I heard them.
Today was a great days sailing with the cruising chute up early for about 5
hours, we must have clocked up about 30/35 miles and then the wind got up so out
came the genny: 147 miles today. Just about half way, so a small
celebration of a shot of vodka will be passed as thats all there is on
board.
Saw a frigate being refuelled about 3 miles away,
relatively exciting. Sunday we should be in the Azores high with the south
westerlies we are looking for.
