there!!! Here’s the boring stuff! in the last 24hrs there
were 154nms covered, we are 45nms from the date line and have 346 nms until we
reach
Auckland As always we are pushing a
current which seems to be a trend for this trip but we are more than happy to be
hitting dry land and grabbing a couple of cold beers. The forecast
winds didn’t last as long as predicted and again
the wind is behind and not particularly strong heading towards
NZ.
Once we hit Auckland and have
cleared all the entry formalities it will be a case of a clean up on the yacht
and then off home or where after a couple of beers at the yacht
club. Well we are not counting our chickens yet the
bloody winds more or less crapped out on us again, so I guess I'll making a few
phone calls on the way in to let people know what the score
is. You know I’ve had my deliveries where I thought
the yacht really wanted to get to its destination and I’ve had a few that put up
a little resistance but this one is like the preverbal dog going into the vets,
when it knows its going to get jabbed with a needle!!! the brakes are on right
from the start! But in this case the current not
