Hi All
We have no excuses for not updating our web
diary sooner except time passes so quickly here. We left Sines at
2030 hrs on the 22nd August and figting into
head wind s and more lively swells (that everyone seems to be talking
about) we tied up in Lagos in time for
breakfast at 0930 hrs on the 23rd. Our first visiter at Lagos was around
0935 hrs, a very exuberant Spanish gentleman
who could not speak a word of english trying to explain to us that
he had owned a Nauticat for 9 years and how
"Magnifico" he thought ATALAYA was. That was to be the beginning
of another round of socialising and meeting
up with people whom we had met around the Spanish and Portuguese
coastline. We spent a very enjoyable 9 days
in Lagos. There is also a very nice Marina Club Hotel there with
swimming pool which Tori loved and she made
new friends there too. On the 1st of September we said our
goodbyes and sailed down the coast of
the Algrave to the very picturesque Portimao.
We are not going into the Meditaranean now
because we are all enjoying the sunshine and beaches here.
The girls will now fly home from Faro and
Callum will join us on 21st September here in Portugal. Our intentions
are, on Callum's arrival he will have a
few days to acclimatize then we will make our way to Madeira which
is 500 miles south west probably a four day
sail.
Anyway enough of this waffle all you want is
