How Weohgi got her name - A short history

We did know the history of the name Weohgi before we bought her but Tom Wells' son Glenn emailed us with this. We also think the were are not the 1st Weohgi to do the ARC -Westerly Conway Weohgi did it as well.

"Did I tell you how the name WEOHGI came about? Probably did but here it is again.
Dad was skipper of a Landing Craft in the war and the three crew were:

WElls the coxswain, O'Hara the Seaman and GIbson the Stoker. Dad had 6 boats in his time all named Weohgi, a Westerly Centaur, Westerly Conway, Nicholson 32, Jeanneau Sun Fizz, Starlight 35 and finally your boat."
