Weather calmed down, less wind and seas. Afternoon
brought less than 10kts wind, so we decided to sail the spinnaker. We made good
speed then, but after 6 hours ( just around midnight, watch-shift), there was a
yelp at port crochet position, and a splash. The spinnakerlift had chafed
through at the top and the sail fell in the water. We secured the sailed
on deck and sailed with usual sails rest of the night. We'll climb the mast
today and put a new halyard in.

Været roet seg, mindre vind og sjø. Ettermiddagenb
ga oss rundt 5m/s, så vi bestemte oss for å seile spinnakeren. Vi gjorde god
fart da, men etter 6timer (akkurat ved vaktskifte), var det en skrik ved babord
hekleposisjon, og et plask. Spinnakerfallet hadde gnaget over ved toppen og
seilet falt i vannet. Vi fikk sikret seilet på dekk, og seilte videre med vanlig
seilplan resten av natten. Vi skal opp i masta idag og tre i et nytt
fall.
