first day out of Mindelo. Winds more abeam than running.
Good speed but quite rocky and heeled over. Despite the challengers this
set in the galley, Linda produced a fabulous evening meal of couscous with oven
roasted vegetables and haloumi. No moon so the sky is absolutely full of
stars. We are still in sight of much of the fleet but all we can see of
the boats are their masthead lights. expecting to get into the
settled trade winds later in the week.
