There was higher wind overnight that caused me to reef
at 0215; however, the wind has also veered to west allowing us to make towards
the UK rather than drift more to the west. We've now made most of the north we
need (about on a line with Brest) and are pointed at western approaches. The sun
comes and goes, I saw a few very small men-of-war last night - less than an
inch long. This seems quite well north for these, UK bathers beware! I'm eking
out my power - the generator tow was lost a few days ago in the last F7 - it was
out because I'd not expected that wind.
