Well, after a few days on the beach at Jolly
Harbour where we stripped out, cleaned and maintained Sadie, we are on our
way !
As is becoming traditional for these
adventures, 2 of the crew had never met so the 3 days ashore has been a
useful luxury for Wills and Jez to get to know each other before being forced to
do so in a 10 ft
square box.
Domestic
There is food and water stowed just about every
where on the boat, Jez for one cant touch it as he has been being sick on and
off for the last 12 hrs. Wills is doing better but feeling ropey. The
skipper is made of harder stuff but even he's off his beer !
Pink Floyd and The Wall for entertainment last
night and we have just rigged the bimini to protect us from the blazing sun -
it's really hot out here (sorry as I know it's a bit different at home
!)

Close reach into a brisk wind -it's lumpy out here
rather than rough. A bit like crossing the Thames Estury in a
chop
Natural History
A tern and a black headed gull just like we'd see
at home and we were just visited by something new on the gull front. Big
80 -
90 cm wingspan with a brown head an brown and pale
stripes on underside of wings. Weird tail setup with a standard fan plus a
couple o longer fearhers that stick out the middle - Dave Smart ? Sorry
it's not much to go on.
A few flying fish and loads of luninous jellyfish
as we passed Barbuda last night.
