As we were entering harbour, a friendly looking
local swam past.
 "Och, aye, Jimmy" I hailed, keen to show my grasp
of the local vernacular, "is the distillery near here?"
"Well, to be sure" he responded, "if I was going
there, I would not be starting from here". And so saying, he was
gone.
I was puzzling his remark, searching for the hidden
significance, when I saw it. Someone had put the porridge pot in the locker in
front of the compass. For the last two days we had been heading in the wrong
direction!
Time to turn off the computer and do some serious
re-planning.
