We left Gibraltar behind us yesterday, pouring a drop of good red wine into the sea in the known world of the ancients. The red wine represents the tying of slaves and enemies to the slip as a blood sacrifice when launching a new vessel. Neptune is kept happy and the boat can sail in good cnditions... Now we are motoring up the Spanish Costa Blanca in wonderful spring sunshine. From Cartagena we head to Formentera in the Balearics. In the Mediterranean we are in home waters, and how nice it is!!
