Note: this is out of order we just found
it did not go out by the sat last week but wanted to send it anyway.

Yesterday afternoon the wind picked up out of the
NE so we changed our course slightly west enabling us to get about 7 hours
under sail until it died again and we were back to the engine. We were
able to do about the same from midnight to 0300. We are still in very
mixed eddys which for a few hours work with us and then against. We expect
to meet the Gulf Stream sometime this afternoon, and with a little luck we
may have new winds from the south for about 12 to 15 hours which would
boost our progress considerably.
Since before sunrise this morning the sea state has
been very quiet with large rolling swell so far apart that they barely bother
us. We met a couple of freighters this morning almost at the same time, one
passing about a mile and a half behind us heading for Tuxpan, and another
passing the same in front of us heading for a US naval base, the initials of
which we didn't recognize.
A flying fish flew into the rig sometime overnight,
it lay stiff as board on the deck this morning with and open mouth and it's
wings extended.

Peacefully cruising along. Nothing but wind,
water and waves. A very special "congratulations" to Michael and Alexandra
on this, their wedding day!!!
