This morning the wind was at 11-12 kts and we got out the spinnaker for some sail on style ... sailing at 6.5-7.0 kts. By noon the wind was down to 8 knots and even with a wing-on-wing could not sail more than 4.0 to 4.5 kts. So, soon after this email will evaluate if starting the engine again or not. ![]() With 12 kts of wing Blue note was sailing at 6.5 to 7.0 kts ![]() With wind down to 8 kts. Even with a wing-on-wing and pole out she could sail to only 4.0-4.5 kts. ![]() That's why they call it "Blue Water Sailing". Note how the Italian made Max Prop is nicely feathered out. |
