Sailed today at 0900 UTC 14 Sept 2009and LT from
Mohammedia for Las Palmas
The weather started cloudy with a little rain the
wind coming from the West, South West 15-20kts and we have made several course
changes. The sea is moderate and visibility 5 nm. We are making 6-7,2 kts but
the waves are coming from two directions. There are a lot of small fshng boats
all along and we have to have a good lookout. We met a Morrocan warship few
hours ago and we see now from the AIS 3 ships around us, making the screen look
like we are going to be attacked.
On the radar we can see the rain around us
but not yet touching us, actually 5nmiles on our starboard there is big area
with rain and a small patch right in front of us 2 nmiles away.
We are all glad Pantelis left for Athens so he can
take care of his stone and hope he arrived well home.
We are keeping as far as possible from the Morrocan
coast for weather reasons and to be far from fishing fleets. Safi, a fishing
port in the south, is considered the biggest exporting port of fish and we
want to avoid the area especially at night.
Meals: Lunch today pizza and Jamon Iberico, Keeping
the gourmet stuff for the evening if the weather permits.
Music: Bach is keeping us company
We have to try tonight a new watch system and
Ioannis will participate in the watches.
So check our progress from SpotFinder and we will
keep you updated midnight so you can read in the morning.
