Before leaving UK, we were quite apprehensive about all the new checking-in procedures as a result of no longer being in the EU.
Brexit definitely hasn’t made it easy for us ‘boaties’ who move around from country to country in their quest for adventure or a simple life on the water. So far we have been pleasantly surprised at how straight forward it has been.
A huge thank you to all those amazing people who spend hours each day checking us and others in and out all day, sending copies of
documents to the police stations etc …
Everyone we have met so far has been fantastically friendly and helpful.
I guess it could have been a lot worse!
The documents needed are your passport, boat registration and insurance papers (and vaccination certificates if you haven’t already registered them on the countries specific website).

After a bit of much-needed R&R it was time for Andrew’s 5 weekly haircut!
Steve from Cerulean was also in need of a haircut as Helen was halfway through it and felt she wasn’t up for the job! So I had my very first actual customer! Non-paying of course but later that day, Steve and Helen very kindly brought round a lovely bottle of rose as a thank you.

This is Andrew and Steve modelling their new hair cuts!
I was hoping at least one of them would allow me to try my hand at the ‘Peaky Blinders’ look modelled below by Cillian Murphy but no, maybe next time!

The next morning we headed out for a morning jiggedy-jog along the coast to stretch our legs and a quick pit-stop at the open gym.

We came to Lanza a few years back as part of the ‘support crew’ for Nick Gibbs who was competing in the Lanzarote Ironman 2019. We brought our road bikes and loved the cycling! It was very windy with lots of hills and hot but the roads are fantastic. The hills, heat and wind are a challenge but the scenery was out of this world and well worth the effort!
