590nm to go, 234nm sailed.
We managed to sail a little yesterday morning but it was very light winds. Luckily there wasn't much swell so Chula was able to do 3-4kts in 8-10kts of wind - impossible in the waves of the Bristol Channel!!
The wind dropped off completly around 11am and stayed that way until midnight so we had a solid 12hours of motoring. It has gradually increased during the early hours of the morning and we currently have reefs in all sails and we're stll making 6-7kts.
We're noticing the difference in temperature, its a beautful sunny day with warmth from the sun but a fresher wind. All is good :-) I'm expecting the wind to pick up further and hopefully it should saty on the beam for the next few days.
