KHad a great midway party yesterday . Becky spoiled us with a mid Atlantic gift box including a bottle of verve clique champagne, however as Stew doesn’t do champagne and the 3 of us should probably not drink a whole bottle we decided to save it for arrival.
Our celebration included a delicious dinner of duck confit roast pots and veg thank you Mr Waitrose. Earlier in the day saw us all hanging over the pulpit chatting to a pod of gorgeous porpoise enjoying surfing down our bow wave and jumping all around us . We are so lucky to be here. The day ended with a better day run of 148 miles . Which had included making water and hence hot showers were enjoyed. All in all a great day.

Angus battery neurosis under control but unfortunately the little generator has run out of fuel we were lulled into a false sense of security on our way to the Cape Verde where we didn’t need it at all as the sola and wind did amazingly. So we might have to run the engine a bit more possibly very other day. Look on the bright side more showers !!

Now enjoying a bit of trade wind sailing . However gusts are coming through quiet regularly ,the strongest one was 43 knots recorded by Stew. Which means we are now down to just a tiny staysail but still doing 7 knots . Whoopy.

I don’t think we will be having lunch on the foredeck again today , but it was a great change of scene for us all . The cockpit is definitely our place of work so the change was appreciated by all.

Becky and I continue to do our yoga but confined to the cockpit or down below at the moment . We also do step ups on the coach roof got up to 5 mins yesterday .

Basil ( the sour day starter ) is doing great work it transpires that it’s very forgiving as to how much you need or what it needs to live on . So bread sorted. Might he be considered a pet on arrival ! Yogurt making is also a triumph.
