Noon Position 18 34.1'N 030 20.7'W
Speed 6.5kts
Wind ENE 3-4 Clear Sky and Mod sea, long rolling swell from the north.
1797 miles to go.
Disappointing run due to light winds especially overnight but now tanking along at 7 knots after the wind picked up earlier this morning. So hopefully we can make up some time.

Wild life day yesterday.

First off all Andy caught a fish - a Dorado. About 2 kilos (see galley notes). It was landed at 1615 and plated by 1930.

Then as we were landing the fish a bird landed onboard. No ordinary bird but a grey coloured Egret type bird with a white underside. Obviously lost.
However not withstanding its navigational abilities its timing was immaculate. As needless to say it wolfed down the Dorado trimmings. It has taken up residence on the foredeck and as evidence of its luck a flying fish landed on deck early morning which Andy filleted for its breakfast. It has been nicknamed Edith.

Dinner was fresh Dorade with a lemon butter sauce on a bed of ratotuille.

If anybody has a recipe for curried Egret could they let us know.

All well onboard
Yours
