38th blog leaving Niue

We spent just 24 hours in Niue. This island is a makatae, a raised coral island, now of limestone. It has no reef and it's coast is limestone cliff with lots of caves.

Before we left we went out to look for whales. I think this area is their maternity ward, as you can see the calf is probably a week or two old.
