Aparent Wind 18 knots , from NW, Speed 6 knots. COG 065, thyree reefs in the main, 3/4 of genua Still 650 miles to go to Flores. We got 30 knots of wind, gusts to 40 knots and 5 m chaotic waves, a bit to the north there was 8 m waves and 45 knots of wind. Glad it has passed. Now the wind is easing, currently 18 knots from the NW, will slow down to 8 knots tonight and last 30 hours of light winds. Then 3-4 days of 20 knots winds from the NW will bring us nicely to Flores. This morning we were overtaken by a catamaran Conti Ultim, 12m long doing a speed of 26,6 knots!! With a very small main and a storm jib. |
