Bags packed, ready to go at sparrowfarts tomorrow, if the new Uber app works and the taxi arrives on time!  The local bus won’t get us to Helensvale Station in time for our train for our plane to Darwin, so taxi it is.  Here’s the planned itinerary, put together over the last few days, after deciding that although it’s not really the best time of year for the trip, it’s now or never, as we won’t have time in the autumn/winter:

Wed 7^th – fly to Darwin, pick up hire car.

Thu 8^th – explore Darwin & surrounds

Fri 9^th – drive to Kakadu National Park

Sat 10^th – explore Kakadu NP

Sun 11^th – explore Kakadu NP

Mon 12^th – drive to Katherine via Edith Falls

Tue 13^th – Katherine Gorge, then drive to Daly Waters

Wed 14^th – drive to Tennant Creek

Thu 15^th – drive to Alice Springs via Devil’s Marbles

Fri 16^th – Sun 18^th – camping trip to Uluru, Kata Tjuta & Kings Canyon

Mon 19^th – explore Alice Springs

Tues 20^th – fly back to Brisbane
