We're finally on our
last leg into Sydney. Left just after lunch yesterday and have had mostly great
weather since we left - plenty of clear skies, sun/moon and stars, some
spectacular distant electrical storms last night.
The wind is
considerably lighter than our last passage, but pretty much on the nose, so
we're close hauled with the #3 jib and full main. Currently motorsailing (with a
new fan belt after the old one broke this morning). Still pretty cold, but
sunny, and at least we're dry this time so far with the reduced wind and
waves.
Current eta in
sydney is sometime during saturday the 12th (very
exciting!).
