This is the best shelter on the south coast of Mallorca when the wind is in the west. So we headed here yesterday after a slightly rolly night at Andratx after the westerly kicked in.

It was a lovely sail of about 12 miles, ending in a fast beam reach into the bay of Palma, past some well known holiday resorts like Magaluf.

Off out to dinner now in the town of Palma Nova with Liz and Alasdair from Viking, their Lagoon catamaran. This rendezvous spot was agreed between us as they were sailing down from San Carles, south of Barcelona.
