Not much to report today. It is grey and miserable
and has been raining for most of the day - at least we had a chance to
properly initiate our new foul weather gear.
Our progress has been up and down, we made fairly
good speed overnight with the spinaker up, especially as Rean managed to stop
himself from breaking this one too.
The wind then changed direction, Matt and Mari did
a good job of snuffing the spinaker and bringing it over on to the starboard
side just in time for the wind to die down almost completely. So it was brought
down, packed away and we motored for about an hour.
Since then the wind has picked up again, both the
main and headsail are out and we are doing an average of about 8 knots. Ray is,
as usual, doing a sterling job of driving and says that it is 589 miles left to
go to Lanzarote and at this speed it will take us 77 hours to get there. Over
and out.
