Vandaag zijn we op pad gegaan en begonnen aan onze trip over de Inter Coastal Waterway ( ICW )

Het alternatief als je niet buitenom wil gaan via de oceaan.

Vanuit Beaufort via een rivierachtige omgeving naar de Neuse River en daar een zijtak

genomen om te overnachten. Geen huurboten om ons heen …we liggen nu echt alleen.

Mugjes, vliegjes visjes en heerlijk weer….zelfs dolfijnen zagen we vandaag.

We zijn nu net een motorboot. Heerlijk relaxed gevaren. Vic heeft zelfs lunch gekookt!

En het is heerlijk lang licht tov de carieb.

Gisteravond een borrel gedronken bij Abel T. Dat was erg gezellig.

Zij gaan ook Noord dus die komen nog wel een keer tegen.

Maar kunnen niet de ICW doen vanwege de masthoogte.

De vaste bruggen waarvan wij er 2 hebben gehad zijn 65 feeth.

feeth is de diepte en de hoogte op de kaart. Goed opletten dus.

We gaan nu effe genieten van de zonsondergang.

We left Beaufort today. It was a beautiful trip on the Inter Coastal Waterway (ICW)

There was a nice breeze and the temps was 26+ degrees celcius.

We met some Dolphins who were playing together – very nice to see : )

There were also beautiful houses along the way with their own docks (75K) each for the hydrolic lifts

Some were unbelievable. Lots of houses in North Carolina have big white rocking chairs on their “porches” for sipping some ice tea honey! hahahaa

We liked the friendliness of the people in Beaufort and their accent!

We had a nice time aboard another Dutch Boat last night “Abel T”. They are heading north also but have to go via the Atlantic Coast as their boat is bigger

and won’t make it under the bridges here.

There are 2 US fighter jets around here, we aren’t sure if they are practising or if they normally do this to protect the country.

Joost cooked a nice meal tonight! Chicken, veggies and his secret potatoes ; )) yummmmm….lekkkkkkker!
