1st day of 2022 back in Greece

The start of our remaining 77 days of Schengen allowance has began for 2022.
The taxi picked us at 12 midnight this morning and dropped us at the coach station. A lovely big coach duly arrived for a handful of customers and dropped us off at Heathrow for our 7 am flight to Athens. Absolutely packed and no room for over head luggage even asking if BA can put any in the haul for free!
Lovely journey and although it took off 40 minutes late the captain did try and make up for time. Not to be a good experience to get straight through customs in Athens as at least two planes had arrived before us and 4 chaps were at lunch and the other four were not coping with the numbers involved. Half an hour of shuffling around the barriers we were free to collect any haul luggage after a lovely stamp to say we have entered Greece was put in our passports.
Luckily Pops Cars were waiting in the car park to take us to their office for our hire car to drive to Kilada.
After egg and sausage sandwiches we were off on the motorway with our loose change in hand for the road tolls. It is lovely to see the sea and the mountains and Jim’s excellent driving got us to Kilada in record time. We checked on Ariel in a spot on concrete just by the office. 😃
After very sleep since yesterday we are in a lovely apartment drinking a nice glass of wine before the big challenge of getting Ariel back in the water by the weekend.
