Dear Gwyrlan fans,
As Blogger of the Day I am pleased to report the
following events from to-day :
* Excellent weather : a punishing 24 degrees
C, which means shorts and T shirts,
* Crew : is now complete :
Carsten arrived as planned,
* Food stocks : continue to build, we are
fully confident in having enough food to last until some time in
March,
* Mechanical niggles : Tom has managed to
rebuild the emergency bilge pump and (with Lara's assistance) rig a second
spinaker halyard,
* Electronic niggles : James has got
the satellite e-mail working again, but not without a few gratuitous comments
towards Microsoft,
* Crew morale : seems to be
holding up, due in part to some sea swimming and a friendly Oyster sponsored
drinks party,
* Lucky : the Pakeman Teddy Bear has settled
in well and is looking forward to his first sail tomorrow.
Plans for tomorrow include getting the short
wave radio working and going for a short sail to check gear and the all
important Parasailor.
