14 - 18th March 2010 Crown Bay Marina, St Thomas

The 5 days spent in the marina were very hot and busy -
at last the problems with the water, gearbox,
dinghy and Furuno are sorted out, although a lot of money
spent!
We did manage one day to explore the island (and visit the
chandleries!). St Thomas is a busy place - on
one day there were 5 enormous cruise ships in port - Charlotte
Amalie seemed packed with nothing but all the
shops the cruisers cannot do without. What
we can't make out is whether they actually buy new tee-shirts,
sarongs, fridge magnets, table cloths and
most importantly JEWELLERY at every port.
