Carriacou is a small island to the north of Grenada and is part of that country. We entered Tryell Bay on the west (leeward) side and picked up a mooring bouy.
Amanda found a delightful walk to the top of a hill with magnificent views over the island and the anchorage in particular.
![]() The local buses operate in the same way as the main island Of Grenada but at a much more relaxed pace, still playing music but at a level which enables one to hold a conversation.
Another highlight was Paradise Beach which lived up to its name.
![]() Overall the island is very pretty and surprisingly quiet given the number of boats anchored. The population is very friendly and seemingly very happy living a simple life in beautiful surroundings.

We checked-out of Grenada at the small customs and immigration office before moving on to Union Island slightly to the north.
