Carriacou is a small island to the north of Grenada and is part of that country. We entered  Tryell Bay on the west (leeward) side and picked up a mooring bouy.

Amanda found a delightful walk to the top of a hill with magnificent views over the island and the anchorage in particular.

The local buses operate in the same way as the main island Of Grenada but at a much more relaxed pace, still playing music but at a level which enables one to hold a conversation.

Another highlight was Paradise Beach which lived up to its name.

Overall the island is very pretty and surprisingly quiet given the number of boats anchored. The population is very friendly and seemingly very happy living a simple life in beautiful surroundings.

We checked-out of Grenada  at the small customs and immigration office before moving on to Union Island slightly to the north.
