We are all well and enjoying our adventure. Making good speed and direction
most of the time.
However we did hit a dead flat calm section yesterday, so enjoyed a swim
and got the chance to do some washing and actually managed to dry clothes for
the first time.
Thank goodness for the solar panel, while we get browner and browner, our
batteries get charged up. Still having to be careful as not much power to have
lights on at night, and we still leave all the instruments off, but our Walker
Log (now affectionally called Luke, as in Skywalker), keeps us abreast of our
distance covered so we can make daily bets as to what our mileage will be. The
winner getting the chocolate out of the Advent Calendar.
Freddie ‘Monkey Boy’s meal the other night was a great success..even if it
did take 5 hours to prepare and nearly as long to clean the mess in the galley
afterwards!
We are now officially on countdown as we sailed under the 1000 miles to go
mark last night. |
