Entered Horta Harbour under sail at 2000hrs on 3rd June 2012 and anchored eventually. Struggled to find anywhere both shallow and sheltered. Wind whips in at times between the hills. Of course the inter-island ferry arrived as we were gilling around looking for a good spot. Quite a lot of boats also at anchor.
Towed into the marina on the 5th and rafted up 4 deep at he end of a cul-de-sac, interesting. All the neighbours are friendly and welcoming and the marina is still very crowded even though the ARC boats have largely departed. Now undertaking engine repairs and exploring the Azores.
Peter flew back to London on the 6th.
