BETELGEUSE Tuesday 30th Update

43.28.74N 10.23.71W We have just left the Bay of Biscay as I type, and I’m really
not sure what all the fuss is about, it was a breeze! Clear blue skies, sun shining and sea state
pretty benign. So much so we pulled over
for a swim (not sure if ‘pulling over’ is a particularly nautical term, but you
get my drift?!). Once round Betelgeuse
each, followed by a quick freshwater shower – what’s not to like! Meals continue to come at an alarming rate, all delicious
with very generous helpings; we are certainly not going hungry on this voyage! Dolphins are still providing plenty of entertainment, with the highlight being a magical appearance in the middle of the night with a pod feeding on a shoal of fish, all leaping through the waves with the fish doing their best to avoid them, all leaving phosphorescence trails in their wake – a stunning spectacle, and definitely not a sight one sees every day.
