rigging checks and sailing at last

ALICE'S ADVENTURES
ANDREW AND CELIA SHARPE
Sat 27 Nov 2010 11:56
We have just had our slowest 24 hours with only about
125 miles covered. We have at last got a steady breeze blowing from the
east and we are doing 5 and half knots which is actually better!
Very warm, cloudy and muggy today. Masses of
dolphins today and crew just reported seeing flying fish. Still no fish
landed for dinner tho.
Every day all the crew have to take a walk round the
deck and inspect the rigging. In Las Palmas we had the rigging checked by
Jerry the Rigger who showed us what to look out for. The picture is of me
being hoisted up to have a look round.
