Helford River

Following a superb sail from Penzance (at one pint reaching over 9 knots and generally averaging over 8!) we picked up a mooring on the River Helford at 17:30. Richard’s first task was to gut the mackerel.
The River Helford is stunning especially when the sun is shining. As the weather forecast was for another sunny day and we were now so close to Plymouth we decided to treat ourselves to a day off to explore.
We investigated both pubs and took in some of the wildlife.
